Our Client Singh Sweets & Snacks Pty Ltd, Trading as Singh Sweets and Restaurant is seeking an experienced Cook to join their team located in Truganina, Victoria, 3029. This role involves preparing and cooking authentic Indian cuisine while maintaining high food quality and hygiene standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in line with menu requirements and recipe guidelines.
- Maintain consistent food quality, taste and presentation standards.
- Adjust ingredients and cooking methods to meet special dietary needs and customer requests.
- Ensure the kitchen area is kept clean, organised and hygienic at all times.
- Store food items correctly to maintain freshness and prevent contamination.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Check stock levels regularly and organise timely ordering of kitchen supplies.
- Reduce food wastage by managing portions and using ingredients efficiently.
- Work closely with kitchen staff and service teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with training and guiding junior kitchen staff when required.
- Use kitchen equipment safely and ensure it is properly maintained.
- Support daily kitchen operations to meet service and customer demand.
Qualifications
AQF Certificate III in Commercial cookery and at least 3 years of experience.
